Model: Tapo C720
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.3

I have the Tapo C720 cameras fitted with the SD cards.

Question 1.  I also have the Tapo H200 hub with an SD card, and I have setup a C720 camera to record the videos to the hub's SD card. There are 30 GBs of old videos on the C720 SD card.  Can I select all videos and export all videos on the camera's SD card to the hub's SD card using my mobile Tapo app?

Question 2.  If I start a Tapo cloud storage (Tapo Care) subscription.  This would be the Premium Plan.  Can I select all videos and export all videos on a C720 SD card to the cloud storage?

I know you can manually do this by downloading one video at time. But this will take forever and a day. I need to download all videos in "One Fell Swoop". If the answer is you cannot. Then I will need to get my ladder out, climb the ladder and unscrew the camera from the ceiling, take out the SD card, use a card reader to copy all files to a Windows folder. Then go through the whole process again of climbing the ladder to put the camera back. There has got to be a better way!

  @WSC4

Hi,

Thank you for your questions regarding video storage and transfer.
For your questions:
1. Transferring videos from the camera’s SD card to the hub’s SD card via the Tapo app is not supported. To move your existing videos, you will need to physically remove the camera’s SD card, copy the video files to a computer (or phone) using a card reader, and then transfer them to the hub’s SD card manually.

2. Tapo Care cloud storage does not support uploading or transferring existing videos from the camera’s SD card. The cloud service is designed to save new detection recordings that occur after your subscription is active. It cannot backdate or import historical footage already stored locally on the device.

We hope this clarification helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
