Hey!
My dad has few "HS100" at home and recently had a lot of problems with the Kasa app. From time to time it was not showing the plug as available although everything was fine with the Internet.

To allow him to control his plugs I made a simple android app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.idct.hs100directip

Which allows to connect to HS100 plugs without Kasa and/or TP-Link Cloud.

You just need to enter the IP and port to connect. The port by default is 9999.

If you have multiple plugs and want to have them available from outside just forward some externally available ports.

So far it allows to retrieve the alias, turn off, turn on and check the state of a plug. Further updates should provide nicer UI and options to set the alias.

Feedback is more than welcome :)

I also made a simple PHP class for working with HS100:

Nice work.

Thanks for sharing.

Using your PHP code for guidance I was quickly able to put together an iOS app which enabled me to switch my plug on and off from my iPhone via a VPN connection to my local network.
