NC450 goes offline on WLAN
Camera Name: NC450 2.0
Model: NC450 2.0
Firmware: 1.5.0 Build 181022 Rel. 3A033D
Hello to all!
Like many others in this Forum, we have strange connectivity issues with the NC450 V2.
My setup:
We need the camera connected to WLAN (Wifi), to connect via Ethernet cable is not an option.
After initial setup the camera via tpCamera App (Iphone), with cable pluged in, i changed from DHCP to Static IP. Pulled the cable and WLAN is connected at Rate 89%.
No Cloud Settings taken, we don't need it, the cam should only work in the local LAN/WLAN.
Login via Browser Firefox (64.0.2) and Live View is ok.
Installed TP-Link CameraControl in Windows 10. Login - all works fine.
After about 30 - 40 mins the TP-Link Camera Control shows "Connection Error".
tpCamera Version 3.1.4 App (Iphone) shows the NC450 "Offline".
The LED on the NC450 is constant green.
After powercycle, I upgraded the Firmware from 1.3.4 to 1.5.0.
Then i reset to "factory default settings" and setup the camera new.
All worked!
After about 30 - 40 mins. - Connection Error on TP-Link Camera Control. tpCamera on IPhone shows "offline" again.
Not able to Login via Firefox etc. The Camera Website is not reachable. Not able to ping the IP Adress.
The LED on the NC405 is constant green.
After power off the camera and turn on again, it works again... for a while.
Is there any solution for this ?
Otherwise we would send this thing back and try another manufacturer.
Regards,
Chris

Hi Kevin_Z,
Could you email me the downgrade procedure?
I tried to do that by ipcam web management without success.
I'm on 1.5.0 version and I would try to come back to 1.3.4 to see if my disconnection issues solve.
Thanks

Hi,
Could you please provide more details? Like the light status of the NC450, the hardware and firmware version and so on.
Meanwhile, have you tried to hard reset and reconfigure it yet?
What about other devices? Do they drop connection?
Good day.

Hello,
You can try to downgrade the firmware to give it a go.
After that, please take some time to test whether it works.
I emailed you the instruction to downgrade to 1.3.4, please check your inbox.
