Tapo P100 "Operation failed" when adding scheduled event
Tapo P100 "Operation failed" when adding scheduled event
I added over 20 scheduled events for 2 Tapo P100 plugs which I got this morning using the app.
Now every time I try to add another scheduled event for any day & time, I get "Operation failed. Please try again later"
Why is this happening? I should be able to add as many scheduled events as I like to either plug without seeing this error message.
If it's a bug it makes these P100 plugs unusable for me & they will have to be returned as not suitable for use with heavy schedules.

@deafuser Hi, sorry for the inconvenience caused there. The Maximum Schedule Item for this plug is 20, that why you can't add more events.

I got the 'operation failed' while trying to set up my first schedule on the Mini Smart Wi-Fi Socket. Instead of using the schedule page for the plug I went back to the home menu in the app and used the 'Smart Actions' menu. I was able to set up a schedule as a smart action. After the first scheduled event took place I was able to set up schedules without issue. Hopefully this helps.

I just got TAPO brand new. Trying to set just one new schedule and it does not allow me and shows message "Operation failed. Try again later". Anyone has a solution?

I also have a brand new P100, installed and updated.
Same issue, when trying to add a schedule (1st) or timer in the app, "Operation failed, try again".
P100, HW version 1.0.0, Fireware 1.3.3 Build 20200711 Rel. 52097.
Please help?

Good day,
Thanks a lot for your time and patience.
For your case, we would like to collect the following information and forward your case to our senior engineers:
- Are you still able to local and remote control the plugs on the APP when you failed to create the schedule?
- Would changing another smartphone fix the current issue? And what is the model and operating system of your smartphone?
- How long have you had the plug and did the schedule work well before?
- What is the model number for your home router?
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

@Brook Hi, I have exactly the same issue.
I am able to control the plug from the app, but I cannot setup Actions and Schedules at all (same error message as other users). I have the latest firmware and app version.
I have tried with another phone running Android 10 too and it's still the same issue.
My router is an TP-Link Archer C3200.
Could you please help me?

Good day,
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
Sorry for the delay.
As for the 'action', did you mean smart action since Tapo plugs did not support smart action yet.
Can I have a picture of when you tried to set up a schedule, it said operation failed?
later We would like to follow up your case by email and please have a check of your email box.
Thanks a lot!
