1) Your TP-Link ID or cloud account;

2) The model number of your Tapo Camera and its MAC address;

TAPO C200v2

3) The model number of the host router;

ASUS RT-AX3000

 

4) How often the problem happens and how to recover from it;

It is not possible to view the camera remotely.

The problem has been occurring permanently for 2 months now, it worked for about 1 year.

 

5) Whether you have tried all the suggestions listed as above or not. If so, what are the results?

Here's what was tried:

 

1. Set DNS 8.8.8.8 on the router.

2. The hardware reset was performed.

3. The SD card has been removed.

4. SD card has been formatted, new hardware reset done.

5. Enabled debug logs (I can send them as an attachment)

6. Home mode and away mode were tried, without success.

7. An attempt was made to switch ISPs.

8. Connections were monitored via tcpdump directly from the router in order to debug, there were several NTP connection attempts, but I did not see DNS connections.

9. The Tapo account password does not have special characters.

10. A new tp-link account without special characters has been created.

11. The firmware was updated to the latest, the current one is 1.3.9 Build 231019 Rel.38052n(4555)

12. Remote connection was attempted with different SIM card companies and different ISP.

13. The current network topology is router ASUS RT-AX3000(192.168.86.1) => TAPO C200v2(192.168.86.240). - I don't use extenders.

 

I tried to attach debug.txt file, but I got the message "Failed to upload."

There are no firewall enabled or mac filtering on my router.

Hi, 
Would you please send me the TP-Link ID(email address) you used to control the Tapo C200 before when it was working and the email address you are using now to log in to the Tapo app?
You can send me the different TP-Link IDs via a private message.

  @PatriciaStar Hi, did you manage to solve this issue? I faced the exact same problem and not sure if is the camera issue or the app problem. Did the TP-Link get back to you?

Please help confirm the following information for your case.
1. What's the model number and MAC address of your Tapo camera? You can send me the MAC address via private message.
You can go to the camera's Device Settings>Device Info page to find its MAC and model on the Tapo app.

 

2. Please describe your case phenomenon in detail and what troubleshooting you have done.

 

3. When did you buy the camera and when did the problem start to happen? Did the camera work fine?
