Not always recording on bell ring

Hi
I installed my video doorbell a couple of weeks ago and am still experimenting with sensitivity, so accept it'll miss some events.
But, on two occasions it hasn't recorded when someone rang the bell (although it did give a notification).
Sirely it should always record on "bell ring" events. Yes?
Any thoughts?
