Very strange phenomena:  TP Camera app on Samsung tablet works fine through the tplink cloud when the tablet get wifi from a cellphone hotspot.

But... when the tablet get wifi from wifi extender - it fails to connect through the cloud to the same camera !   The camera is connected to the main house router wifi, and the tablet is connected to wifi from extender wifi - the source wifi for the extender is the main house router wifi - the one to which the camera is connected.

 

How can the wifi to which the tablet is connected affect the success of the connection to the ccamera (through the cloud) ??

Hi,
Please help confirm the following information for the reported case.

1. Do you have internet when connecting to the extender's Wi-Fi?

2. Please connect the phone to the router's Wi-Fi directly and check if you can manage the camera.

3. Is the camera showing offline on the app when connecting to the extender's Wi-Fi?
