I have ordered a C510W camera but having checked the user and installation guides, I have some doubts about the operation of the pan/tilt function:

 

1. Is the pan/tilt function available thru a WiFi connection? Some descriptions I have seen refer to "wired pan/tilt" which would seem to suggest that pan/tilt only works when the camera has a cabled (as opposed to wireless) connection.

 

2. Can I manually control pan/tilt from the Tapo App or does pan/tilt only operate automatically on detection of movement? Again, I did not find any mention of this in the manual.

Hi, 
1. For the Pan & Tilt cameras, after you set it up successfully, you can control the Pan & Tilt feature manually on the Tapo app, no matter whether the camera connects to the router via Wi-Fi or ethernet cable.
If you enable the Motion Tracking/Auto Tracking feature, the camera will pan & tilt to track the event automatically after detecting it.
