Description

In response to the following situations regarding the Tapo H500, our R&D team has implemented relevant optimizations. Before the official release, a beta version is available for community users to try out.

1. The hub stops reading the capacity of BOTH the inserted hard disk and internal storage. The Storage option cannot be accessed in the app, showing no response. The internal storage remains unreachable even after removing the hard disk.

2. Relevant issues of facial recognition.

 

 

Solution

Fixed in firmware 1.3.1 Build 20250822 rel.65691.

Modifications for the issues mentioned in this post will be included in the latest firmware 1.3.1 Build 20250822 rel.65691, which has started to be released now. 

 

The new firmware will be released in stages. Before the full release, it is normal that some devices cannot receive the latest version while other does. If your device hasn't received the new version, please wait patiently as the release scale will be increased gradually.

I have this issue . 

 

Won't read  internal storage , it can't find my 5 familiar faces I added  , it wont save any videos to h500 as it can't see storage

I have noticed  both our "summary  of the last 7 days are exactly the same " very weird it's collected exactly the same amount of data  🤔 

 

 

 

 

Admin I also noticed , on the tablet version of the app, all my familiar AI faces are there still. No storage still can be seen on the tablet version . 

 

So just to confirm 

 

Mobile version of tapo 

H500 shows no storage or familiar faces / AI add

 

Tablet version of tapo 

H500 shows no storage - but shows familiar faces / AI add . 

 

I had it for also a few days , and it's stopped.

I only use mobile tapo app

All AI face i save have gone and storage turn undetected. The 1st day i got it i have try the h500 without ssd/hdd it have internal storage of 16g, even though u dint install any ssd/hdd it have 16g storage to use.

they sent me the Beta firmware today to install , but i think its bricked the device, it hung on firmware update 30 + mins ,  now wont hard reset, wont connect, just solid red light now.

Updated few hr ago problem fix.

Lest try few days and see how

Problem again just 1day, now asking me format my ssd but after formatted it few times nothing change still keep asking me format

I send mine back for them to fix or send replacement 

 

Or I may just return for a year or  so until they fix their issues and we don't have test products 😅

Received new one today, so will see how this is. 

still firmware 1.1.2 REL 57629 

so will give it a few days & see if it deletes anything
