@M3rl1n You can force devices connect to 5GHz band when it is available. This will not fix 2.4GHz band issues, but at least in theory should move device back to 5GHz band as soon as it is available....

@DerekT Cat5E is not going to be enough to support 2.5 gigabit speeds. To get 2.5 gigabit speed, you need a Cat6 cable. That would explain why you can use this cable with gigabit Ethernet port, but...
