Probably. Maybe do a firmware upgrade first. Reset and reconfigure it for a try then.

In client mode, you may delete your existing wireless network profile, and then it will disappear.

It must be frustrating. Did you ever try PPPoE on the router? With a DSL modem in bridge, you may try it. :)
