Do you have the same slow speed on other devices? It's better to connect a computer to your modem by cable and do a speed test. And you may try Manual Upgrade the firmware.

TP-Link routers don't support Hostname, but as LLMNR protocol, it's allowed to ping the hostname between two Windows computers.

Hi Kelf, on TP-Link website, C5 V2 has 2 antennas, V1 has 3 antennas, checked the User Guide, they all support WDS.
