@gandj It will be best to do some tests on your new iPad. Make sure your Tapo app is updated. Go to App Store, search TP-Link Tapo, if there is an update, you will see 'Update' instead of 'Open'....

@Jonchill The smart button doesn't support the migration feature yet. Additionally, the automation settings cannot be migrated.
