@BartekBB For some domains the echo requests (pings) may haven't been allowed and that's why the preferred way to detect an Internet connectivity is the DNS resolution.

@BartekBB The ideal solution would be a new FW releasse, but that's up to the TP-Link development team. I'm just pointing to a possible mitigation, described in my previous post hyperlink.

@BartekBB You can't disable these DNS checks. This is a known behaviour when a TP-lin router is configured in AP mode - details. To mitigate this constant DNS queries, usually setting AX53 IP address...

@ICA-IT Make sure that your WR940N is with an (EU) FW region: Also make sure that you've unzipped the FW file and then you're using the .bin extension file when upgrading.
