Deco M5 NAT Loopback (I think) issue
Deco M5 NAT Loopback (I think) issue
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Recently installed Deco M5 Mesh, all three devices linked via Wifi.
However, I'm having problems connecting to my security cameras via DDNS.
I've configured Static IP's to the camera DVR, and port forwarding.
When I connect directly using Static IP, everything works great.
If I try and connect using DDNS credentials, camera access is painfully slow and/or intermittently fails.
If I try and connect using DDNS from outside my network (i.e Cell Phone Data) Everything connects and works fine.
Is this a limitation of the Deco Devices?
From my research I believe this is NAT Loopback, so is this supported by the Deco's ?
Thanks,
Simon

So I found the issue on my side. I had to disable IPS under antivirus as it was blocking my loopback request. Everything is working now. Need a whitelist option.

I received a response from the TP-Link support team:
Simply disable Antivirus module on the Deco app cannot fix the issue.
Should disable the kernel process of Trend Micro in the CPU with a debug firmware.
Be noted that the next firmware won't release too soon. It may take 1 or 2 months.
However, once release, will send you a notification in the Message Center (the envelope icon at the upper right corner of the dashboard in Deco app)."
I also tried disabling IPS but it didn't resolve the issue for me.

I'm having the same issue. Accessing my internal Nextcloud instance worked great for a few days, but now it's painfully slow. Any updates?
