Model : Archer C7

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version : 3.15.2 Build 170525 Rel.37571n

ISP :

I upgraded the firmware on my C7v2 because I wasn't getting 5GHz, but 5GHz still doesn't show up in any of my wifi connections. I've tried channels 36, 40, 44, and 48, but nothing. The 170525 firwmare says: "Fixed the bug that the 5GHz Wi-Fi signal will disappear after working for a period," but is there still some 5GHz issue that's preventing it from showing up at all?

Is the 5G LED on? After the firmware update, you can press the reset button for 10 seconds and reconfigure the router

This router seems to have issues with 5ghz. I've tried every channel, disabled UPnP (a fix I read that worked for someone), disabled WPS, temporarily tried WEP, temporarily disabled all security on 5ghz band, and still nothing. The only fix might be to flash a 3rd party firmware like dd-wrt or gargoyle, and if that doesn't work, return the router as defective.
