Slow Ethernet port speed on TL-WR1043N
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Hi,
I have upgraded my ISP service to 200 Mbps. To prepare for this I have added the TL-WR1043N router, changed cabling to CAT6 and configured the Ethernet adapters on my two desktop PCs to Gigbit speed. I tested the connection at the Arris cable modem and showed an average of 184Mbps. I then used the same laptop and tested at the office Ethernet connection that would plug to the tp-link router and it showed an average of 173Mbps.
When I plug the router to that connection and the CAT6 (3 meter) cables to the Ethernet ports, the speed drops to near 95 Mbps. I have configured the router to static ports on both these PCs. I'm getting good wireless N performance allowing for the distances.
How can I get the port speed closer to the input speed?
Firmware: 1.0.3 Build 20161118 rel.64282(5553)
Hardware: TL-WR1043N v5.0
Thanks for any help!
