SOLVED: Archer CR 700 can not open port using port forwarding.
Model : Archer CR-700
Hardware Version : v1.1
Firmware Version : v1.0.6 Build 20160203 Rel615753
ISP : Cox
I'm trying to open port 7777 UDP.
What I did:
1. Went to tplinkmodem.net/index.htm and logged in as admin.
2. Selected NAT forwarding/Port Forwarding
3. Added External port 7777, Internal IP (my computer), Internal port 7777, UDP, enabled.
4. Went to a website that detects open ports, entered my external IP and port 7777.
Result: port is closed.
What am I missing?
Also tried:
- Creating DMZ for target computer. (same result)
- Contacted ISP to verify they are not blocking port.
- Tried another website to detect open ports.
This one reports the UDP 7777 port as open|filtered. I have not been able to locate any kind of firewall issue that would make it "filtered."
