Archer C3150 / C7 1750 limiting speeds
This may get wordy I've been working at this for 6+ hours now so bear with me. I have a C7 1750 that would drop connection to my wireless devices and to my Xbox and would need to be reset more and more frequently. I purchased a 3150 that just came in today. I've been setting it up and did a speed test on my Xbox to see what my down and up speeds were. I'm getting anything from 8.xx to 9.xx Mbps down and 9.xx up. My internet speed is 100 down 25 up. I took the cable (CAT6) out of the router and plugged it into the Xbox One and got 90-100 Mbps down and 24 Mbps up. Don't get me wrong I'm able to play and everything fine but updating or downloading updates are SLOW. I've tested downloading a game both through the router wired and directly to the Xbox. I'll be lucky to hit 10Mbps download through the router and I'll get anything from 50-130Mbps download directly plugged in. I've done speed tests on my iPhone and Macbook Pro and I'll get the same 10 down 10 up wireless that I get wired directly to the Xbox. App updates are slow too on my phone.
I've tried port triggering and adding my Xbox IP address to DMZ and that had no effect.
I've tried adding a high priority to the Xbox through QoS (although I've been told to disable QoS, but I don't see an option for that in my interface) and increasing priorities to high for everything.
I've updated the firmware.
I've tried to aggreggate two ports to increase speed. With everything listed above nothing has changed the download speed except for taking the router out of the equation.
It feels like there is a setting in the router that is limiting everything wired or wireless to 10 down 10 up. Any ideas or should I just return the router?
