I'm running a TP-link WiFi CArd on my Linux system.

I just received a message in Synaptic that stated:

W: There are multiple versions of "dkms-ndiswrapper" in your system.

This package won't be cleanly updated, unless you leave
only one version. To leave multiple versions installed,
you may remove that warning by setting the following
option in your configuration file:

RPM::Allow-Duplicated { "^dkms-ndiswrapper$"; };

To disable these warnings completely set:

RPM::Allow-Duplicated-Warning "false";

I'mtring ot determine in TP-link wi-fi cards use dkms-ndiswapper or not. If they do, I need ot go through some step sto fix this.  If not, I can simply delete the program.

Seems like dkml-ndiswrapper is used to install windows drivers for network cards.

The instructions that we provide do not mention using that to install our drivers (attached).

My apologies. Now that I have the box in front of me...I'm talking aobut a 300 Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter Model No. TL-WN851ND.  Am I going to need dkms-ndiswrapper in order for this to work?

@georgetoon

Linux drivers were never released for your card which is probably why you have dkms-ndiswrapper to install the Windows drivers.
