Model: Archer AX1500
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I see there are two products for ax1500 Wifi-6 router. AX10 and AX1500, below are the links in Tp-link website

https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax10/    ---   for archer AX10

https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax1500/   ---  for archer AX1500

1.Which one of these two is the new one and better??

2.Are they both same router with different names??

3.Do they have any difference if so what are the differences, the only difference i found is color coding on AX1500 and the price.

Please tell me as i am about to buy a new one.

@akhilkumar

The only difference other than where they are sold is the the X10 also currently has in the works a future feature to be added.  We do not have any details about this feature or when if ever the feature will be added.  Once details are made clear and confrimed addtion date is added we will update the product page with the new infromation.  Until then the two routers are the same and the only difference is where they are sold.

@Carl

I have another question, which is better between Archer A9 or AX10 ??? I have 200 MBS home internet connection, the modem has wifi but too weak, both are in same price range, but A9 has Upto 1900 speed , AX10 has upto 1500 speed. But Ax10 has wifi 6, what is your suggestion.

@akhilkumar

The speeds 1500Mbps vs 1900Mbps are really not fully telling.  While an industry stanards these represent the combined maximum speeds possible, but since no device can connect to 2.4 and 5GHz at the same time you will never see these speeds.  You will instead want to focus on the maximum bandwidth of each band.  These numbers are found on a products specifications page on our official website.  But still this is the maximum you may see in a perfect enviorment.  We know that a perfect enviorment in this day and age are almost impossible to have so you want to then look at the features that minimize or at least mitigate the impact of enviormental and other sources on interference.  To this regard the WiFi 6 features are superior.

I would recommend the AX10 over the A9

@Carl @akhilkumar

At a guess I would fathom the extra feature might be HomeCare by Trend Micro.

This seems to be the only difference between the AX50 and AX3000 models.

Again... only a guess.

@Carl No Single card can connected to two Wi-Fi networks, true, but isnt it true that if you have two WiFi cards you could reap the benefits, although only within LAN since most wont have that kind of bandwidth coming in anyway? Also if you have access to two separate Wi-Fi networks you can connect to them separately with two different network cards (for someone without a dual band router), which I only recently realized.

@DoodE

Regardless of how many network adapters you have in a single PC only one can be active at a time.

@akhilkumar I ordered and paid for an AX10. I just realized I was delivered an AX1500.   I REALLY, REALLY, would like to know what the difference is and wheter those differences are effective now or some time down the road.  I may return it or reconsider the pricing on this unit.

Thanks.

@Richard-T I think one might have a slightly faster processor. One may have a usb port and the other doesn't. Might be the same but perhaps in a different location (overseas?) it's called something slightly different. Been awhile since I did my research on it.

@Carl

Would you also recommend the ax10 over the a20 (C4000)?

@Mhess427

Different purposes.  The AX10 is most directly related to the Archer A6/C6.  While it is an WiFi 6 router, it is a dual-band router without our TrendMicro Powered HomeCare suite.  The A20 is a Tri-band router with HomeCare.  If you do not have any wifi 6 devices i would probably go with the Archer A20 at this time.
