Ax11000 dropping 2.4ghz every other day
Every other day 2.4 wireless drops until the router is restarted. Everything connects back fine after reboot. 5ghz has no issues. Using latest firmware. Any ideas?
Using smart connect I cannot specify a channel. I really dont want to turn that off and have 3 ssid's.

Checking in here to see if tp-link has a solution to this, got this router recently and I am having the same issues.
2.4Ghz will drop once in awhile, I notice that it still shows up, but no devices can connect to that network until the router is rebooted.
Several reports here already, surely tons of issues out there without reports either, showing signs that this is a bug that should be addressed.

@shaywood - could you share that beta firmware again please? I got a notification but it looks like your post is not tied to this thread anymore, thank you!

Same issue here. only small handful of 2.4 items, so its not a numbers thing. Definitely a bug with smart connect.

No, nothing regarding the WiFi Functionality. There were a few bugs that have been fixed but nothing regarding the wifi. As for firmware new firmware is added to the site usually every Friday. We don't know which products will get updates until the list is published. I would just say check back mid-day Fridays to see if there is an update.
If you can provide further details we will check with our development team to see if there is anything we can test and replicate.

Details: 2.4 drops all clients daily (sometimes more) requiring a reboot.
Turning off smart connect, specifying channel etc have been tried with no effect. See this thread for other things people have tried.
Everyone is using current firmware.
Thanks

See my previous post for a description of problems I was experiencing. After contacting elevated technical support, they provided me with a beta firmware, which I've been running for a week. So far no issues with all devices being dropped on the 2.4ghz band.

I was not made aware of a beta firmware. I will reach out to that team and find out why. and update the thread with more details.
