Archer C9 V1 Firmware Upgrade Brick

After I upgraded my Archer C9 V1 to the latest firmware version, it only replies to pings. I can't bring up the web interface.
It still does hand out DHCP addresses though. I can't see any Wifi SSID either.
Any way to recover? Tftpd? Or something else?

I was asked to register my device, but the form doesn't accept my serial number.

When you tried to get to the interface, did you use your userid and password or the default userid and password? Try the default userid and password if you have not tried it as it may have reset to factory settings with the firmware upload. Also try resetting to factory settings and reenter your settings.

I can't access the web interface to login. I have already factory reset the device using the WPS/Reset button for 8-10 seconds. The web server simply does not come up. I tried to telnet to 192.168.0.1 port 80 and there's no response.

connect your PC direct to router via cable and use your browser to connect using http://www.tplinklogin.net/ or 192.168.0.1

Yes, I understand. I have already done that. There is no web server running. It can't connect.

Maybe support can help but it does sound like it may be bricked. Maybe they have a procedure that can load the old firmware version.

@TNV You can try the TP-Link firmware recovery process: https://www.computerbytes.co.nz/blog/unbricking-a-tp-link-router/

Thanks for the link. I was able to use that procedure, but the same end result. I have tried using all 3 versions of firmware available on the Archer C9 V1 web page. I waited 5 minutes after each successful TFTP transfer to make sure to give the router enough time to come up. I have also used the hardware reset button to reset to factory defaults after each transfer. But always the same results. The router responds to ping. The router hands out DHCP addresses. There is no web interface. There is no Wifi SSID Is there any way to clear the NVRAM? I only know to hold the Reset button down for 8-10 seconds, but it seems like there is some lingering configuration issue that is causing the boot up process to fail.
