Hardware Version: V7
Firmware Version: 1.0.11 Build 20190810 rel.50990(5553)

Hi - I am trying to figure out if I've configured my new AC1750 to connect to my ATT Uverse 5031NV. In numerous searches there seems to be many variations of configurations from just disabling wifi on ATT side, to changing static/dynamic/bridgeing settings, etc.

All that to say, what is the easiet, most secure configuration to bypass the ATT router and connect to the AC1750?

Thanks!

Your easiest setup since the Uverse router is required is to disable the wireless on the ATT box and setup the C3150 in AP mode.  While this disables all router and advanced features of the C3150 it does allow a simple ethernet connection setup to the ATT box.  You basically would be using the ATT box as the router and the C3150 as the wireless access.

@Carl Thanks for your reply. To clarify, I have an AC1750. Could you provide a step-by-step guide on how to do this? I'm unfamilar with the term "AP mode". Thank you.

What Hardware version do you have of the AC1750?  The steps are slightly different based on this.

Okay so for that model it is quite easy.  Log into the router Advanced - Operation Mode - Access Point Mode - Save.

Connect your main unit to the Archer A7/C7 via ethernet to the WAN port.

@Carl hi there - is there a way to do this without disabling the wifi from the AT&T modem?  I am actually looking to extend the range of wifi in my house.

@donttouchmy

No, you want to disable the wifi on the Att device because if you don't you will have two wireless network competing for the same network space.  It will cause interfence and EMI that could affect network performance.
