Firmware Version: 3.16.9 Build 150312 Rel.59597n

Hello. I really like this router cause of its fast wi-fi speed, but it suddenly started going slow. It was going perfect without ethernet cables used. The ISP is not the problem, they were called several times and the only answer was that its running good. The download speeds are now less than 1Mbps that let's just admit, is really slow. Would really like some help fixing it. (Also tried restarting, reseting, changing the channels, even the DNS servers, and nothing helps).

When there is a sudden change in speed, the first place to check is the ISP. From their end all may look good. Things to do. Power cycle the modem, router and PC. If still slow, bypass the router and connect a PC direct to your modem via Ethernet cable and run your speed tests, Be sure to use good cables as that is a cause more often than most people think. If still poor than it is the ISP, wiring, or modem. If it appears to be the router, do a factory reset.

@Justaguy

WIth respect to the ISP, you could also log into your modem to see if there are any critical 3 errors, those usually means the internet signal is not optimal which causes connection issues.

As far as the router, wire a computer to one of the LAN ports to see if that speed is fine, that will help to determine if the speed to the router is fine, and the issue may lay in the wireless aspect of the router.
