AX50 LAN Speed limited to 100 Mbps
AX50 LAN Speed limited to 100 Mbps
Good morning!
My AX50 is limiting LAN speed to 100 Mbps as shown in the image below from windows ethernet status. Connecting the cable directly to modem or using 5Ghz Wifi gives me the correct speed, what do I have to do to remove this limiter?
Yesterday i unninstalled Tether App and reset router and the problem was fixed but today the speed is limited again and I dont have Tether installed.
Thank you,
Julio Novais

Are you sure that you have gigabit Ethernet port in your PC. And make sure the cables are gigabit Ethernet supported, otherwise it will not work for sure.

Just to finish my part in this topic, after trying with AX50 and AX20, both had the same problem...I've bought another brand router and it works fine now.

yep the problem just started for me on my AX50 .... out of the blue disconnected. I had the ISP replace the modem and fater about 2 hours of troubleshooting I sent the tech on his way since I knew the issue wasnt the ISP or the modem. I found swithc to 100Mbps/Full Duplex did the trick to get me back online after sitting on the phone with a TPLink support rep. I feel like we tried all sorts of combination of thigns before he threw in the towel.
I got fed up went to Best Buy and bought a nother brand of router.... boom worked no issue. No firmware crap, no cable replacement, no doing things in a certain order.... it just worked. I was a TPLink fan buuuuuut I have given up. Hello new router....

I have had an AX50 for a year and few weeks, 2 weeks ago it dropped the Negotiation speed to 100Mbps, so I lost 66% of my speed ( I have 300Mbps), I can't even get 90Mb in speed.com or speedtest.net, this is so sad, support just keep giving advices like "enable QoS", and "don't set it to Standard", check the cables, I can't believe that I wasted my money on this, besides it doesn't have bandwidth control and more cons
