The Deco W2400 is still an active device so Firmware is still on the table. However firmware is only updated if there is a feature being added or enhanced or if there is a bug or flaw that needs to addressed. New content is usually launched every friday so I would just check once a week to see if an update is available.

@Gnx87 On the website, it says a firmware update is coming soon for the W2400. Is there any projected date, I am waiting for the range extender option?
