I'm able to login to all my devices with the password that is on the bottom of my router, but when I go to login to control the router with the Tether app for the first time it says that that password is incorrect. Can anyone please help me?

Hi Rich,

 

make sure you are using the administrative password.  By default the username and password are both 'admin' all lower case.  Also Tether for new users requires an account to be created so make sure you have done this and are signed into that account because this could be where the error is comming from.

Try writing the password in upper case.

Did you see Carl's advice above?

 

There are 2 methods, local and via the cloud TP-Link ID.

 

Rather than duplicate 3 times the original post, please detail what you did and what happened?

 

If you used the label on the bottom's credentials, what do you use to log into the router if you use a browser, the same ones ot the TP-LINK ID?
