SR20
Anyone familiar with the SR20? I have a couple home automation issues I need to work out.
Thanks

The SR20 wasn't around for very long. But what are your questions? We can still get you answers.

@Carl thanks for the reply! Are you saying that the SR20 is not for sale anymore?
Here are the things I'm struggling with
1. When I set up the SR20 I cannot use the same name as my current wifi network. The app states that set up was complete and tries to run a speed test but it timesout. Then if I look on the router itself the screen is saying it's trying to connect to the Kasa Cloud. It never connects and I have to power cycle the router. If a choose a different name for the network I can get through the set up process ok. However since it's a different SSID none of my KASA devices (I have over 30 of them) show up.
2. Once I did get the SR20 set up on the different SSID I connected my new MS100 and a existing HS200 to that network. I tried to set up a smart action on the SR20 to get the motion detector to turn on the light. It never worked. The MS100 reported motion but never turned on the light.
3. This may be related to the different SSID issue, but none of my scenes from the KASA app showed up on the SR20 touch screen. Even though the router, all the devices and the sceens are in my KASA app.
I really just want my MS100 to work more than anything. A motion dector to turn on the lights is my goal.

Hi Ryan,
Yes the SR20 was a limited release item. It was decided not to be continued. I will get with the smart home team to get answers to all of these questions.
Be in touch shortly.

Hi Ryan,
Here is the information. Please review and let me know if a Firmware upgrade works or if we need to futher engage with the Smart Home QA team.
For Issue #1:
- One reason the setup failed did not complete is that during onboarding flow, the mobile device will require to connect to SR20 device a couple of times.. It is possible when phone connects back to the new SSID, it connected to the other router which prevents setup to continue successfully.
- Temporary Resolution:To make all your smart devices connect to SR20, change your SR20 SSID to be the same as the other router (name and password and security type must be the same) Then turn off the other router. Your existing 20 smart devices will then connect to SR20.
However, once you bring up the other router back online, you will face the same issue where some smart devices will connect to the other router.
- The optimal resolution would be if both SR20 and your other router can be configured as a mesh network then it would not matter which router the smart devices are connected to, in theory, he SR20 smart actions or scenes should work.
For Issue #2:
- SR20 Smart action only works when smart devices are on the same local network as the SR20.
- The SR20 should have at least this version: 1.2.4 P123[20191212-rel55239] There is a bug on older version that prevents the router to communicate with cloud server and breaks smart action feature among others.
For Issue #3
- For the scene triggered from SR20 will require Smart Devices to be on the same network as SE20.
- Why does the scenes does not show on SR20? One reason is that he SR20 version must be at least 1.2.4 P123[20191212-rel55239]
- To Upgrade FW on SR20, Go to App ->side bar-> settings -> firmware update check on SR20
If you can check if the SR20 ison the right version? If your router is on the right version, we’ll have to do some investigation to troubleshoot #2 and #3 issues . If you can provide Kasa account (email) information to poke around to find some possible causes.

@RyanEverhart789 @Carl I'm having exactly the same problem! Any directions to configure the tplink sr20 as mesh network with the other router?
My smart switches are connected to my first router, and the TP-Link SR20 does not detect any of my smart devices configured in my Kasa account but the Zigbee MS100 sensor.
I configured a smart action on the router but the switch never turns on even when motion is detected.

The SR20 is not compatible with Deco or OneMesh technologies. If you do not have anything plugged into the WAN your router would not have access to the internet. So if you get a message no internet but are connected to the WIFi that would be normal.

@Carl Alright, thanks, that what I tought. The smart actions are working now, but not the auto turn off of the switch after X time, is this caused by the router not being connected?
Or is it something else?

Depends on if you are using the smart actions built into the router or the app version. If its the app version ( 4 options with abilty to make 3 active at one time) then the item would need to be compatible with the service:
HS103, "HS107", "HS220","HS210","HS200", "KC100(US)(UN)(JP), KC105(US)(UN), KC110(US)(UN), KC115(US)(UN), KC120(US)(EU)”, KC200(US)(EU)”, KC300 (US, UN), KC310(US, UN), LB1x0, LB2x0, KL1x0, KL1x0B, KL50/60, KL50B/60B, KL430, KP100, KP105, KP200, KP303. KP400, HS110, HS100 . Models with multiple region specific support included unless specified)
If its the SR20 version I would need more information of what is happening as I will need to engage with the Kasa division for more information.
