Archer A10 / AC2600 USB storage transfer speeds
Hello,
I have an external USB3 hard drive I'd like to hook up to an Archer A10. What type of speeds can I expect to see with an Archer A10?
I am currently seeing 4-7 megabytes/s with my Archer A7, so hoping for something faster with the A10.
Thanks,
James

The Archer C2600’s dual USB 3.0 ports run 10x faster than USB 2.0 for data transfer at lightning speed. Connect external drives to the ports and easily share files, photos, music, and video across your network. To help your wired devices achieve peak performance, the router’s four Gigabit Ethernet ports operate 10x faster than standard Ethernet.

Yes that is a different model, the Archer C2600, which is end of life and no longer in production. The Archer A10 also a AC2600 router, but does not have USB ports.

That is a hard question to answer. The theoretical maximum for USB 3.0 640 MBps however this can be greatly reduced by items such as the OS attempting read/write to the drive. The drive itself and any overhead such as wireless or Ethernet transfer rates and the processor and processor usage on the router. The processor in the C2600 is a dual-core 1.4 GHz whereas the C9's is a dual core 1 GHz processor, while its faster other factors would still apply. Theoretically it would be a faster response but we can say for sure.
