Archer AX50 -- can't share printer across 2.4 and 5 GHz networks
My Brother wireless printer can be found by computers that are on the 2.4 GHz network but not by computers that are on the 5 GHz network. Both networks have the same SSID and password. I've tried with and without the Smart Connect feature turned on.
This was never a problem on my 7-year old Linksys router. Regardless of whether my computer was on the 2.4 or 5 GHz network, it could print to the printer.
Any ideas how to fix this problem? (Besides turning off the 5 GHz radio.)

The AX50 doesn't have AP Isolation, except for the guest network which I'm not sure if you are using. If not, forget the 5G network on one of the computers, and connect back so it prompts you for the password again.
If you connect back and still can't see the printer trying and ping the IP address of the printer. If you have Windows computers look at the network and internet settings for the network, set it to Home rather then Work or Public.

@Tony I tried that. Did not work.
Reset my printer and re-entered the network credentials. Forgot the network SSID on my computer and re-entered the network password.
Anyone else got any idea how to fix this problem? Again, the problem didn't exist with my Linksys router.

Am I wrong to expect that computers on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz networks should be able to access a printer connected to one of those networks?

The problem has disappeared. I don't know why. I didn't do anything to make it go away.
I hope it doesn't return.
