Model: Archer AX20
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0

Does anyone know the hardware difference between v1, v1.20 and v2 ?

I currently have v1.20 with firmware 1.1.0 (March 2020) but looks like v2 have an Oct 2020.

thanks

I have found TP Link and many other manufactures most times do not advertise the differences in the version levels. Sometimes you can review the user guides for each version to get an idea of the differences. Also some other sites may indicate major difference such as the CPU differences. You would be hard pressed to find a difference advertised for many components such as the radio as that is not a "marketed" item like the CPU is. Do not try to load firmware from a different version nor a different region as you may brick the router.

@peterman

The 1.2v gave improved wireless performance compared to the v1. The v2 changed the chipset, but performance-wise is the same as v1.2.

@Cleber_Nunes

@ArcherC8 is correct, you can not use firmware meant for a different hardware version.

@Tony I saw that Archer AX20 has OneMesh compatibilty..

it's applied to all versions???

for 1.0 I saw a firmware update that add this features.

for 1.20 there is only first firmware release and it's not describe if has OneMesh compatibility..

could you please clarify it for us?

thanks in advance

@ghl

So far all versions are planned (does not mean guaranteed as plans may change), like you mentioned v1 has the release so far.

@anyad

Both versions have a metal shield for heat dissipation. https://fccid.io/TE7AX10/Internal-Photos/10-Internal-Photos-4370870
