√ I have configured the router using the tether app. Router is work OK and is FINE.

√ I can access the router through the Tether app FINE.

 

 

X http://tplinkwifi.net   does NOT work now.

X http://192.168.0.1        does NOT work now

 

The internal  IP address for the router on my network is 192.168.86.66.

X http://192.168.86.66   does NOT work either.

 

Questions

 

  1. What is the web portal for admin access for the router to manage it from my PC? <<<
  2. How do I check the firmware of the router? <<<
  3. Where can I find the new firmware? <<<
  4. How do I download the new firmware to my router? <<<

 

Thank you all for your help. I chatted with tp-link tech support but they could not help

See the firmware and user manual at https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-ax6000/ for 2,3,and 4. For one I am not sure. For 1, try clearing the history and stuff on your browser, a different browser, or different computer. I assume you have also power cycled both the PC and router.

How did you determine the IP Address of the ROUTER?

 

Is your PC on the same network and have an IP Address that starts with 192.168.86? If not, you can't see the router.

 

Suspect with Tether you changed the Router's IP Address. Use Tether to reset it to 192.168.0.1 and that should fix it?

 

Also you can do a RESET of the router to Initial state using the hidden pushbutton.
