Hello,

I'm not very knowledgeable about this stuff but I've gotten messages on my phone that my router needs to be configured to WPA2 or WPA3 security.  I don't know how to do that.  Otherwise, internet connection is fine

Sign on to your router and go to the advance setting for WIFI. There will be options for setting the security, generally on the same page as the WIFI password. You need to do it for both networks (5 GHz and 2.4 GHz). Depending on the router you may only have WPA2. Use AES encryption.
