Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

New user of deco M9 mesh here. When I open the TP-link app and see the device list on my network, I see my multiple Amazon devices, which are my various FireTV's, Echos, and tablets throughout the house. Each are named something similar to "Amazon-37683e678" in the app. I would like to rename these by their specific location (e.g, family room FireTV), but have not been able to figure out how to identify them. I already verified that it is not the serial number and it is not their device name in my Amazon account.

thanks for any help

@4gdad

Use the MAC address to identify them. Go into the network settings of the Amazon devices, note those down, then go into the app and update the names.

For Amazon Fire Stick:

-From the Main Menu go to Settings
-Select "System"
-Then go to "About"
-Toggle down to Network
-Look for the MAC Address (Wi-Fi)

@Tony Thank you! It was easy to find the MAC addresses on the devices. It took me some digging to find it in the app--gotta press the settings icon when you get the edit device name screen.

Thanks
