Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1

Hello.
I have recently had TP-Link Archer AX73. Works great, very strong wifi. But there is one "thing". I have a gigabit connection from UPC, when I connect my desktop computer directly to the provider's modem with a cable, transfers are in the order of 850-950 Mbit, when I connect the same computer (with the same cable) to AX73, the transmission reaches up to 650 Mbit. It does not matter if the cable is factory-supplied from the router or my private one. CAT7 cable. Latest firmware. Could there be a problem?

O.K. Changing to access point mode to fixing the situation :-)

@Teoatino

A few things to try:

  • Be sure you are using the power adapter that came with the router.
  • Check for a firmware update.
  • Test without any USB devices attached.
  • Test with only one Ethernet device and in different ports.
  • Power off the modem, router, Ethernet devices and USB devices. Power up the modem, wait fot to stabilize, then the router, wait for it to stabilize, then the Ethernet devices, then any USB devices.
  • Be sure the Ethernet, ISP cable, and power cables are not close and running parallel to each other for any long distance.
  • Some routers have speed settings so check for that also (change from auto)

@ArcherC8
Thanks for the answer. Everything you described, I have done before. The only thing left for me is online support. In the evening I am trying to change the MTU value for the WAN port ... but I'm running out of ideas :-(
