Model: Archer C4000
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: V3

I was going thru my settings and noticed non of my traffic was encrypted from IPVanish.com and they said , that you up was only thing that would be changed and no encryption would happen.  Why does it do that and I just noticed they also put it up on help section that TP-Link Routers would have IP changed for hiding you but will not be supported in encryption. Are all VPNs like this ? And why pay 💰💰💰  for a year of IP Spoffing when you can do this yourself by changing WebRTC settings in your browser. Any good VPNs that really work with TPLink Archer C4000 ? List any please

@Carl I'm not saying it's TP-Links Routers are the problem it's actually IPVanish that don't support TP-Links Routers @ all and making others aware to check to make sure if encryption is a must is all for them

I kind of figured that.  I just wanted to make sure you knew how VPNs interact with your router and what type of VPN traffic the system can passthrough so you can make sure your not jammed up by an uncompatible VPN provider in the future.

TP-Link Routers, except for the Archer AX90 do not have client ability.  The Archer C4000 can be a VPN server, based on OpenVPN or PPTP, and can act as a VPN passthrough for IPSec, PPTP and L2TP.  We can't speak for any specifc VPN service but as long as the traffic is one of these you should have no problem using it.
