@Kevin_Z  Hi, is it safe to implement this update from version 1.5.3 Build 210128 Rel.64503n (5553)?

I had to downgrade from the Archer C80 (US) _V1_210308 version to the Archer C80 (US) _V1_210128 version due to stability issues.

After updating to the Archer C80 (US) _V1_210716 version, will it no longer be possible to downgrade?

Thank you very much for your attention.

Regards,

Mauro Passa

@Mauro0KC

Yes, you can install the latest firmware version directly.

And yes, this version doesn't allow to be downgraded to the previous version.

As mentioned in the original post, this latest version improves router functionality, stability, and performance including improved connectivity experience. It's worth an upgrade. But let me know if you encounter any issues.

@Kevin_Z permissue.I have a problem with the latest firmware 8 hours after the router restart on schedule every day,it will definitely experience difficult to connect between smartphone and a router or computer with a router(including usinh a LAN).

when you want to downgrade to provious version,it can't be,but this makes it once because i have to restart manually if it happens difficult to connect with the router.thanks

@Light_Cyber

Hello, do you mean every time the C80 rebooted after the scheduled off, your smartphone and computer will be unable to connect back? Can you still see the Wi-Fi signal of the C80 on the smartphone? If yes, what's the error message when you try to connect to it?

Does the computer still obtain an IP address from the router after it rebooted? You can follow this guide to find the IP address on the computer:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/838/

How did the internet or connect recover, do you need to reboot the router manually again?

You can try to reset the router to factory defaults, reconfigure it from scratch to see if that helps.
