Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 build 20210511

My AX6000 has started to not allow new connections via WiFi unless rebooted. The problem is this is not consistent. It will operate just fine for up to a week at a time, then starts to randomly deny connections from devices that were already connected before. At that point I need to power-cycle. Is there an upper limit on connected devices? My previous router needed to be rebooted.. well.. never, so I do consider this to be unacceptable behaviour. To clarify - by denying connection I mean using WPA2 personal with a valid password I get told "unable to connect".

Hello, does this "unable to connect" error occur on some special or specific devices? Or does it randomly happen on all the wireless client devices? Please try to modify the wireless settings on the AX6000 as follows:

Do the same for both the 2.4G and 5G wireless network, then reboot the router to monitor.

@Kevin_Z Been there, done that. It was random - ESP8622 based devices, iPhone, iPad, Mac Book, apple watch, HP printer. I gave up on smart connect almost immediately. I suspect the fact that I can "see" 17 SSIDs on m macbook is part of the issue. Things have been a bit more stable since I did a firmware update.

Got it. Please monitor the wireless connection for some time, then report back on how this is going. BTW, please show me what is the firmware version of the Archer AX6000 if the issue persists.

Can I have the detailed version of the beta firmware you are running on the AX6000?

I found you were discussing the HFS+ issue with the support engineers and was provided the beta firmware, I would suggest you discuss the disconnect issue with him again to check if he has further suggestions.

@Kevin_Z I was just giving an update after you asked - the connection dropping is random both in time and amount, so it will be very difficult to debug - especially remotely. The other issue has been resolved (I just checked the drive after a needed reboot and it is no longer scrambling the formatting) - I've given engineering my solution.

That sounds good. Let's wait and see if the engineering team has any suggestions on that.
