Hello, I'm looking at purchasing a Wi-Fi 6/802.11ax router for my Dad for Christmas. The main reason is that he uses a Wi-Fi speaker in his garage and his coverage cuts out periodically.  What Wi-Fi standard does his Wi-Fi speaker need to have to benefit from the beamforming capabilities of say the AX1500 wireless router?  Thank you!

Hi Josh,  To use any of the advanced features that WiFi 6 brings his client device has to be compatible with WiFi 6.  WiFi 6 is the general term for AX.  So as long as the client support AX or WiFi 6 it will have access to these features.  If not then the client will access WiFi 5 or WiFi 4 if its a 2.4GHz only device.
