Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I just noticed that there is NEW firmware for the Archer AX11000 v1.6, but there are 3 releases with the SAME date!   None of these are listed for the V1.0 of the router.

What does this mean?  Which is the right one?  Has anyone tried any of them?

Looks tempting, but due to past history, not sure I want to "experiment" until hearing from others.

Please advise.

@Mystiky

Publish date is misleading.  It could simply be that older firmware were missed previously when upload and did not get published.  When noticed we will often post the older firmware not to confuse customers but to see what had been added to firmware previously.

What you do want to look at is the build number at the end of the FW name.  The most recent is 210719.

Well, it looks like we've been all been "fooled"...

The supposed "new" firmware that I inquired about, is actualy the SAME release as was done in July of last year!

So TP-Link seems to have just updated the release dates on their site to reflect 2022, when it essence, there is NOTHING NEW!

Shame...

Yes the firmware is from July.  We can tell from the build number which is the date of the firmware.  As I mentioned previously at time firmware might have been missed and not published.  This could even be seen as old firmware, especially for routers that are connected to the cloud via a TP-Link ID.  This is because these routers can receive updates OTA (over the air).  This cloud server is loaded automatically and does not need human intervention like the website does.  If you did an OTA update back in July that is likely why you have the FW already.

Also please not that Typically FW updates are only provided If there is a need for it.  Such as patching a security flaw that is found, repairing a bug or adding a feature.  If a FW is solid and there are no needs for an update it could be sometime between updates.  This doesn't mean that the product is not being supported or anything like.  Rather it is just that the router is solid and we do not know of any specific concerns at that particular time.
