Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Archer AX11000(US)_V1_220221

I have 2 TP-Link routers in my house right now. Archer AX11000 and Archer AXE75. I have 900 mbps down service.

From the same exact spot in my house (about 20ft away, through a couple walls), only minutes apart, I'll get 900 mbps from the AXE75 but only 600 mbps from AX11000 (with my phone). When I switch back to the AXE75, I'll start getting 900 again. Routers are installed in the same exact spot, connected to the same modem, same ethernet cable, and I power off the one I'm not using.  I am only connecting to the 5ghz band, I'm not connecting to the 6e capability of the AXE75.  I switched back and forth many times in the last couple of days and the results are the same or very similar.

At the furthest point in my house, I have a pc. On the AXE75 I'll get about 250 mbps and on the AX11000, I'll only get about 100 mbps.

I sort of want to keep the AX11000 over the AXE75 but why am I not getting the same kind of speed with the AXE11000?  I manually set the qos bandwidth and set it to standard for the AX11000,  as I hear that is a common issue, but it hasn't improved my speeds.

Any other settings I should mess with or any other ideas?

Hello @Masamune

Do you modify any special or advanced settings on the AX11000? If we want to confirm if there are settings on the AX11000 that affect the speed, we could do the following test:

1) In the admin webpage, go to Advanced > System Tools > Backup & Restore and make a Backup of your current router settings.
2) Perform a full "Factory Restore" from the same menu as above.
3) After the router has rebooted, go to the "Internet" menu and make only the changes necessary to connect you to the Internet. Don't change any other settings on the router and don't log in with a TP-Link ID.
4) Perform another speedtest like you did before and see whether the speed is now any higher or still the same as before.

To bring the router back to the original state just "Restore" the previously saved settings and reboot.

Are the routers operating at the same time?  It is not advisable to have two wireless devices operating at the same time right next to each other.  Even if they are operating on different channels, they will interfere with one another to a certain extent.  One may just do a better job of mitigating it or one may be operating on a more favorable channel.  You should power down one of the routers to get a fair comparison when doing your testing.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions. I reset to default and only changed qos settings and I am still only getting around 600mbps compared to still 900+ for thr AXE75.

Routers are not operating at the same time, I power off the one I'm not using when I'm doing my testing.

Are ALL the Wireless settings the same on both Routers? Security, Channel, Width, etc.?

Is the phome the only Wireless device you have and/or do other wireleess devices have the same problem?

As you switch Routers, are you using the SAME SSID's? If so, on the device(s) do you FORGET the Network before connecting? There could be some 'left-over' info causing the slow speed possibly?
