I have an AX1800 (RE605X), and I could really use a second one on the same home network. Is that possible?

yes and for a better network speed, it is suggested to home router in the middle, like

@David-TP Thanks! I've tried it now, but I'm having an issue. My home router is too far away from where I need the extender to be for the extender to pick up the signal reliably. The light will be blue for a while, then red for a minute, then blue again. I assume that's the extender losing the signal?

I can't move the main router and I can't move the extender. How can I boost the signal so the extender can pick it up? Do I need to set up a mesh network?
