And if some products use the 6 Ghz band for backhaul, within a mesh system (like Deco) do all of the devices have support it?

I would recommend taking a look at the splash page that we have for Wi-Fi 6E here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/wifi-6e/#deco

 

The decos that support he 6Ghz band can be seen here. The 6Ghz backhaul only works between Wi-Fi 6E nodes so one 6E node will not result in a 6Ghz backhaul.

 

The decos on your network do not need to be of the same technology, as all decos are meant to work together. The features of the network are determined by the main node.  Nodes of a previous technology will connect to the network as they had before, via 2.4 or 5Ghz connections. If you have another 6E deco, the backhaul can be configured to use the 6GHz range.
