Will this extender work with a Verizon home internet5G Wi-Fi router? I cannot get it link up.

Hi, they should be compatible with each other.

Do you know the model number of the Verizon 5G Home Gateway?

For TL-WA855RE, it supports 2.4Ghz only and you might need to make sure you are choosing 2.4Ghz of Verizon during setup.
