  @Pertti71 so far no issues with the upgrade. This was auto upgraded so no manual intervention was required.

i bought 2 yesterday and just installed and configurrd them.

i get wifi disconnects or can not even connect. i have test it now over ethernet with a patch cable and i loose every 5 seconds packages or i have ping latency between connected device and b550 of either 1ms or more than 2000 ms. thats crazy. i can not surf the Internet with the device with out several load attempts

 

i have tbe b550 v1 and firmware 1.0.11

250€ super expensive and not working at allpings

I have recently purchased this router and after about a week of usage its now starting to randomly disconnect, it takes a full hard reboot to restore.

 

 

I don't see any real solutions posted to other users. I have a 2 week window to send back, I think I'm going to cut my losses, which is a shame because its a great router but its just not reliable.

I'm having this same disconnection/reliability issue with my TP-Link Archer BE900. Can someone point me to a thread like this for the BE900?

Update: Return has been instigated but I have a week to make a final decision.

 

To be clearer, my router looks like it's disconnecting but its actually a crash, after it happens you cannot access the router via the webpage or app (all lights remain on, no errors). The logs are cleared and (after reboot) show no pertinent information regarding the crash. The only way to restore operation is by hard reboot.

 


I have installed the latest firmware today and I have gone around identifying all devices and what bands there allocated to to try and track down a potential client that is causing the router to crash.

 


The first crash didn't happen for at least a week (after purchase) then they have started trickling along since then, yesterday it happened twice in a 4 hour period. The logs not having a persistent state is a huge problem and should be looked into ASAP. Good reliable logging is pivotal to customer support, we are just guessing ATM.

 

 

I love this router but may have to switch back to my Deco M4's if the crashes persist.

I have the same issues with my BE550. After a week working without any problems I now have constant disconnections as described by others. I have an Easymesh setup with a BE230 which has an ethernet backhaul to the BE550

 

This is pretty annoying, hopefully there will be a solution soon.
