Model: Archer AX90
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.12

I just got a brand new USB-C external SSD and when I plug it into the USB3.0 port (using the drive's supplied USB-C to USB A cable) the router will not detect the drive at all. Other USB 3.0 drives work.Tried a different USB-C to USB A cable and the drive is still not recognized. Recognized fine on all my computers via USB-C or A.

Size: 1TB

Format: NTFS/exFAT

Are USB-C drives not supported?

Try FAT32 as many tp link router need that format.

  @ArcherC8 Not an option when formatting the new drive. Only exFAT & NTFS. The drive that was on the router previously (which I was looking to replace) was formatted as NTFS and worked just fine.

EDIT: Just to see, I used a mini program to format the drive as FAT32 and the router still does not recognize the drive. PC still recognizes and writes to it just fine.

  @pbrad08

I am not a Windows person. I might be able to help more if Apple.

Either way, like you, I do not understand why it would do what it is doing.
