Model: Archer AXE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.9 Build 20231115 rel.37295(5553)

Greetings,

I purchased 2 Archer AXE75 (AXE 5400). 1 for me and 1 for parents.

The bottom of my router says hardware version is 1.6.  In the web portal it says hardware version is v1.0

Firmware updated automatically when I installed router.

I went to download page to download like I was going to do a manual update.

Are v1 and v1.6 firmware the same file? They appear to be, but I'd like to confirm with someone more knowledgeable than me.

On another note, anyone know what is different about v1.6 over v1.0?

Thank you in advance, I appreciate your responses.

  @DepecheFan

Here's what it said on the support portal:

Please verify the hardware version of your device for the firmware version. Wrong firmware upgrade may damage your device and void the warranty. (Normally Vx.0=Vx.6/Vx.8 (eg:V1.0=V1.6/V1.8);   Vx.x0=Vx.x6/Vx.x8 (eg:V1.20=V1.26/V1.28)
How to find the hardware version on a TP-Link device

According to this description these are most probably the same FW release.

But for the sake of certainty if you have to upgrade FW manually and your HW version is explicitly mentioned - use it:

Yes, I certainly will. I just let the auto updater do it when I installed router. I wasn’t expecting this.

If you're using the auto update feature then nothing to worry about.
