I am trying to get my AX4400 to work. I changed it's location to get better signal to devices. Prior to moving it, I had the cable run from my modem into the WAN port on router. I then connected my Ethernet switch to one of the LAN ports.  I moved it to a location that has an Ethernet cable that's run off the Ethernet switch. So the current connection is modem to Ethernet switch, then Ethernet switch to router WAN port. WiFi will not work in this configuration. Not sure if there's a setting that can be changed?  I've connected a laptop to the cable that feeds the router now, and there is a good connection. For whatever reason the router still won't work...

Try modem to router to switch.

@ArcherC8 it will work in that configuration. However the location where I want to place it only has 1 Ethernet connection. To run another cable would require cutting finished drywall...  I was hoping that something could be changed in the settings to get around this.

There are ways but I have not done it. As I understand it requires special type of switch and router that support vlans. Google "modem to switch to router setup" to see how to do it. I am handy, so I would just run another cable.

When your AX4400 is connected to the switch what are its WAN (Internet) port settings:

Is the switch in question a plain unmanaged switch ?

In what mode your ISP modem works - modem router mode or pure modem (bridge mode) ?
