Model: Archer BE800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 20240227 rel.33191(5553)

After update to firmware 1.1.1 now OfDMA/MU-MIMO field switch back to OFDMA Only, even if you select OFMA + MU-MIMO option..

Tested with MLO network on and off with same result.

Another firmware bug on this new build?

  @Michael87,

I believe that the original firmware that was posted has since been officially given to models due to the other fixes and performance increases. Our team has provided another test firmware that will help with the mu-mimo setting being disabled with some devices:

BE800 v1: https://static.tp-link.com/upload/beta/2024/202404/20240418/BE800v1_1.99.97(1.1.1)_240417_userdebug.zip

Try that firmware to see if the OFMA and MU-MIMO behavior is resolved

What do you use for configuring the router tether app or a web browser ? Try using FF browser and check if that works for you.

  @terziyski AFAIK that setting is not available thru tether app, I've tried with FF and chrome browsers with no avail.

  @Betovanbuuren

Yep, seems to be a bug, I got into a chat with support about this and sent them a screenshot of the wireless page with that setting.

  @DVair let's see what they say, not sure if a workaround can be applied or wait till next firmware release

  @Betovanbuuren  The tech I was chatting with seemed to think it will have to wait until next update.

When there's more serious issue with a current FW release they usually come up with a beta FW release until the next stable. You just have to wait for the outcome.

  @terziyski how can we know if a beta firmware is available to test with, to test if a known issue is solved?

  @Betovanbuuren

Keep an eye for an official announcement like this one or here.

Sometimes the beta may not be public but provided by an admin.

Don't worry this would be fixed for sure if confirmed as a FW bug.
